Ch. 1 Reflection

It was interesting to read about the push of technology in the classroom with such resources as Kindles, iPads, and ebooks. Although, reading print is more desirable for me on paper, but I do appreciate the technology readily available to acess print digitally. Although, I know reading online bothers me, I do long for an iPad to have acess to my books on one screen.
California is leading the initiative in integrating technology in the classroom, but I am proud that my hometown is following suit. Every student of the early college received their very own iPad for them to use throughout the semester. All of their text books are available to them on these iPads in the form of ebooks. Comparing these students experience with thechnology in their learning to my own experiences in high school with technology, I am able to truly see the advancement of technology in education.
Another advancement in technology that I have witnessed is the use of Netbooks in assessing students'. The school where I am currently interning in just recently gave each student their own Netbookt o use both inside the classroom for assessment and outside of the classroom for personal use. These types of advancements in technology both excite me with the amount of really good resources we will have at our fingertips to make the learning experiences a richer one for students.
